Generally, each school uses one LiveSchool site, but there are some exceptions as covered in this article.

What is a “site” in LiveSchool?

LiveSchool is generally purchased and implemented for a single school that is looking to unify all students and staff members to:

  • give Points using the same Behavior Rubric,

  • purchase items from the same Rewards Store,

  • award and celebrate House Points across the school,

  • send Recaps to all students and families, and

  • analyze Insights reporting across all students and staff members.

Each school building is represented as its own LiveSchool site, with all students and staff members represented.

Are there limits to the size of a LiveSchool site?

Yes, to ensure the best possible performance for all LiveSchool partners, we have two limits on the size of a LiveSchool site:

  1. We can support up to 250 staff members within a single LiveSchool site.

  2. We can support up to 3,500 total students within a single LiveSchool single site.

If a school has more than 250 staff members or more than 3,500 students in a single school, we create an additional LiveSchool site.

A $495 fee applies per extra LiveSchool site that is created.

What is an additional site?

An “additional site” is a second LiveSchool site used within the same school. This may occur if a partner:

  • Has more than 250 staff members, or more than 3,500 students. In this case, to ensure the best possible performance, we will create an additional site to house additional students and staff members.

  • Requests multiple Behavior Rubrics or Rewards Stores. If a LiveSchool partner would like to create separate Behavior Rubrics and/or Rewards Stores by grade level or another grouping, we will create an additional site to provide that customization opportunity.

  • Requires multiple Clever syncs. If a LiveSchool partner has their school broken into additional Clever sites, we will create an additional site to ensure that students and staff members are synced correctly.

  • Would like to implement a separate teacher site. If a LiveSchool partner would like to award points to teachers outside of their traditional behavior rubric setup, we will create an additional site to house the teachers as students that may be awarded points and purchase rewards.
