Inventory Type
When you create a reward, you'll need to set the inventory type to either Unlimited or Limited.
Unlimited: Use this for rewards that have no physical limit, such as experiences ("Lunch with a Teacher") or privileges ("Sit in a Special Chair").
Limited: Use this for physical rewards that you have a limited quantity of (e.g., "LiveSchool T-shirt" or "Pencil").
Email Alerts
When a reward’s inventory is limited, you can choose one or more staff members to receive email alerts. These alerts are sent to let you know when it’s time to restock and are triggered at two key thresholds: when the inventory drops below 10% of the original amount and when it hits zero.
By default, the person who creates the reward is set as the email recipient.
If you are editing your Teacher Store, this setting cannot be changed. The emails will always be sent to you.
If you are editing the School Store, you can click on the current recipient's name to change who receives the alerts or add multiple staff members to the notification list.
Where to view inventory amounts
There are two places where you can check the current inventory amount for a reward:
Charge Rewards Tab: When you are in the process of charging a reward for a student, the current inventory amount will be displayed next to the reward. This provides a quick check to see if an item is available before you complete the purchase.
Edit Rewards Menu: From your school store menu, the current inventory amount is also visible on each reward's card. This is where you can see all your reward quantities at a glance. (Note: this view is currently not on the teacher store menu)
Edit inventory amounts
You can easily update the inventory amount for a reward whenever you need to.
Click on Setup > School Store
Click on the reward you wish to edit.
Adjust the number in the Inventory field.
Can students see inventory?
No, students cannot see the inventory amount on their Recap. If a reward runs out of stock, students will see that the item is out of stock and will be unable to purchase it.
