What is Safe listing?
Firewalls are essential for school security, but they can sometimes interfere with LiveSchool's functionality. To ensure uninterrupted access and the best possible performance, ask your IT department to safe list LiveSchool domains and emails. This process is sometimes called whitelisting, allowlisting, or blocklisting.
Why Safe listing is Important
When LiveSchool's domains are safe listed, the data we send can pass through your school's firewall without issues. This ensures smooth operation and reliable access to your school's data on LiveSchool.
Note: All LiveSchool traffic uses port 443 (HTTPS).
Domains to Safe list
To guarantee the effective performance of the LiveSchool app, please safelist the following domains:
*.liveschoolapp.com
*.s3.amazonaws.com
*.firebaseio.com
*.segment.com
The * ensures that all subdomains are included in your safelist. This wildcard safe listing is crucial to avoid any issues within the app.
If you're still experiencing issues after safelisting these URLs, please contact LiveSchool Support at support@liveschoolinc.com for a more comprehensive list.
Emails to Safe list
To ensure you receive important communication, please safelist the following email domains:
*.liveschoolinc.com
*.liveschoolapp.com
*.mandrillapp.com
