If you're just getting started with LiveSchool, you're in the right place! These tips will help you feel confident, stay organized, and make the most of your classroom points, without adding more to your plate.

Let’s jump in 👇

Tip 1: Review Your Teacher Dashboard

Get a snapshot of how you’re using points:

  • Go to Insights > Dashboards > Teacher

  • Check your positive-to-negative ratio

  • See who you’re awarding most often

  • Adjust the timeframe to view a week, month, or custom range

🧠 Only you (and school admins) can see your Teacher Dashboard. It’s a great reflection tool!

📊 Tip 2: Use Student Dashboards

Understand each student’s progress at a glance:

  • Click a student’s name, then tap Dashboard

  • View:

    • Total points

    • Top behaviors

    • Points earned vs. spent

  • Click any number to view details in the Timeline

📎 You can also print or download PDFs to share during conferences or check-ins.

🕓 Tip 3: Check the Student Timeline

See a full history of a student’s points:

  • Click a student, then select Timeline

  • View behavior by date, time, and teacher

  • Filter by behavior type or category

👀 Great for spotting patterns and following up on specific behaviors.

Tip 4: Undo a Point Quickly

Accidentally awarded the wrong behavior?

  • Click Timeline in the Action Bar

  • Find the Point you want to delete

  • Tap the red X next to it

💡 This only works for Points you awarded.

💬 Tip 5: Add and Save Comments

Give extra context with your Points:

  • From the Rubric screen, click the Comment icon

  • Type your note — this will show to students and families

  • Check the box to save the comment for future use

✍️ Saved comments save time and make your feedback more consistent.

🎲 Tip 6: Use the Randomizer

Need to pick a student fairly?

  • Click Randomizer on the Action Bar

  • It chooses one student at a time, without repeats!

  • Use it for cold calls, classroom jobs, or behavior checks

📣 You can customize sounds and popups for more fun!

🔔 Tip 7: Customize Sounds & Popups

Let students hear when a Point is awarded:

  • Click the Settings gear in the top-right

  • Select Sounds & Popups

  • Turn sounds on/off for merits, demerits, and the Randomizer

🎵 The “ding!” sound gives instant feedback and gets students' attention.

🔍 Tip 8: Search for Any Student

Need to award a Point in the hallway?

  • Click the Search icon in the top-right

  • Type part of the student’s name

  • Select them from the list and award your point

🚀 Perfect for behavior recognition outside your regular class.

👥 Tip 9: Use “Select All” to Save Time

Recognize your whole class in one tap:

  • From your roster, click Select All on the Action Bar

  • Uncheck any students who are absent or off-task

  • Choose the behavior(s) and award your point

It’s fast, easy, and perfect for routines like transitions or bellwork.

📸 Tip 10: Add Your Profile Picture

Make your feedback feel personal:

  • Click your initials in the top-right corner

  • Click the pencil icon to upload a photo

  • Choose from your device, Facebook, or Instagram

🖼️ Your photo will show up in the Timeline.
