LiveSchool works best when it becomes part of your daily routine.
📱 Go Mobile for On-the-Spot Points
Use your phone to quickly award points from anywhere, such as in the classroom, hallway, or playground.
iPhone/iPad? Download the LiveSchool for Educators app from the App Store.
Android device? Open LiveSchool in your browser and save it to your home screen for fast access.
Tip: If you’re projecting LiveSchool to your class, everyone can hear the "ding" to encourage them to demonstrate positive behavior!
🔁 Build Points into Your Routines
Consistency makes points powerful. Here are some simple ways to build them into your daily flow:
✅ Start of Class
Award points as students arrive, line up quietly, or begin their bellwork.
This sets a positive tone and reinforces expectations right away.
✍️ During Independent Work
Use “Select All” to recognize on-task behavior.
Add individual points for students who show extra effort, ask for help, or stay focused.
🤝 During Group Work
Walk around and award points for collaboration, critical thinking, or problem-solving.
👋 End-of-Class Transitions
Reinforce calm, respectful transitions by awarding points as students pack up and line up.
📋 Use “Select All” to Save Time
Awarding points doesn’t have to slow you down!
Tap "Select All" from the Action Bar to highlight your entire class.
Uncheck any students who are not meeting expectations.
Award your point in seconds, perfect for routines and transitions.
🙌 Let Students Join the Fun
Giving students a role in the process builds buy-in and excitement.
🧠 Self-Award at the Smartboard
Ask students to tap in their own point during an activity or routine.
It’s fun and reinforces the behavior you’re recognizing.
📲 Student Helper
Choose a “LiveSchool Helper” for the day or week.
They use the class iPad or computer to enter points you call out aloud.
This keeps your hands free while reinforcing behaviors out loud.
Bonus Idea: Let students “earn” the helper role by reaching a points goal!
✏️ Sticky Notes Are Totally Fine
Can’t award points right away? That’s okay!
Jot them down on a sticky note, clipboard, or whiteboard.
Later, open the behavior rubric and tap the calendar icon or clock icon to backdate the points when you record them.
These points will still appear in student timelines and reports as if they occurred in the moment.
