Teacher-Focused Points and Rewards

You can recognize and reward your teachers in LiveSchool by adding them as students in your existing site. This allows you to use the platform's full range of features to support staff morale and engagement.

Method: Add Teachers to Your Site as Students

To get started, you'll want to add your teachers as students in a grade level that you don't use for actual students. For example, if you serve elementary or middle school students, consider adding your teachers as 12th-grade students.

  1. Clever or ClassLink Setup: Email us your staff list at support@liveschoolinc.com, and we’ll get them added.

Creating a Roster for Teachers

Once your teachers are entered as students, you can group them into a dedicated roster, like "Staff," so it’s easy to find and award Points.

Providing Points to Teachers

You can recognize staff in one of two ways:

  • Use your existing behavior categories to keep the system unified.

  • Or, create a staff-specific category just for educators. Some behavior examples might include:

    • Supporting a teammate

    • Going above and beyond

    • Positive family communication

Here is an example of a Points rubric.

You can also have the rest of your staff hide this category if you want only administrators to provide Points to educators.

Providing Rewards to Teachers

To reinforce positive behaviors, you can:

  • Use your existing school rewards (e.g., jeans day, raffle tickets).

  • Or, create staff-only rewards such as:

    • Coffee on the principal

    • Early dismissal pass

    • Reserved parking

You can create staff-specific Rewards.

Sharing Point Balances with Staff Members

When you start issuing Points and Rewards to your staff members, they'll want to view their LiveSchool point balances. They can do so by finding themselves as a student in your school:
