Connect Using Chromecast
To display the House Points Dashboard from LiveSchool on a TV monitor using Chromecast, follow these steps:
1. Set Up Your Chromecast and TV
Plug your Chromecast device into an HDMI port on your TV.
Make sure both the Chromecast and the TV are powered on.
Switch the TV input to the HDMI channel connected to your Chromecast.
2. Connect Chromecast to Wi-Fi
If you haven’t set up Chromecast before, download the Google Home app on your mobile device or tablet.
Follow the on-screen instructions in the Google Home app to connect your Chromecast to the same Wi-Fi network as the device you’ll use to log in to LiveSchool.
3. Open the LiveSchool Dashboard on a Computer or Mobile Device
Open a Chrome browser on a computer or mobile device connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast.
Log in to your LiveSchool account and navigate to the House Points Dashboard: https://liveschoolapp.com/#/house-points.
4. Cast Your Screen to the TV
In the Chrome browser, click the three vertical dots (⋮) in the upper right corner to open the menu.
Select “Cast…” from the menu.
Choose your Chromecast device from the list of available options. (You may need to select “Cast tab” if prompted.)
Your Chrome tab should now be mirrored on the TV screen, displaying the LiveSchool House Points Dashboard.
5. Adjust Display Settings as Needed
If needed, maximize the browser window for full-screen display on the TV.
Adjust any audio settings in case sounds are needed.
Now, your House Points Dashboard should be visible on the TV monitor!
It isn’t currently possible to get the iframe to use for an embed code because the dashboard requires a login, and the cookies involved are session-based and require a logged-in session. Some LiveSchool customers use insights.liveschoolapp.com with yodecks. The yodecks team will be able to use this css selector to click login: #loginButton
