Only Admin users can set a House Points Competition Start Date.
Start Date Controls the House Points Dashboard
The House Points standings will only show Points earned after the Competition Start Date that is set.
For example, you can set the start date as the day before school starts to show Points earned for the whole year, or the day before the first day of a new quarter if you want to "restart" a competition and only show Points earned during the new quarter.
Setting the Start Date will reset the House Points standings, but it does not clear Points earned by students or remove any transaction history.
Go to House Points > Settings
Find Competition Start Date at the top of Competition Settings
Click the date field and choose a new date. Your House Points standings will update for the entire school
A few other notes about the Competition Start Date:
Changing the Competition Start Date does not affect your student data, only what's shown in the House Points standings. All students will retain all Points.
You can switch the Competition Start Date at any time, but it updates the standings for everyone in the school.
The Competition Start Date also works if you set a past date.
