1. Creating a Parent Account

Family members can create a LiveSchool account to access real-time student progress updates.

  • Checking Account Activation:
Teachers or site leaders can verify if a parent has activated their account by checking the student’s profile.

  • Inviting Family Members:
    To invite a family member:

    1. Print the access sheet for the student.

    2. Share the family access code provided.

    3. Guide the parent to visit parent.liveschoolinc.com and use the code to link their account to the student.

  • Parent Account Features:

    • View points earned, teacher comments, rewards purchased, and more for the last 28 days.

    • Switch between multiple children in the same account.

    • Access the student’s real-time points and reward store eligibility.

2. Weekly Recap Emails

Parents who create an account are eligible to receive a weekly recap email.

  • Email Content:

    • Total points earned by the student.

    • Breakdown of points by teacher, reason, day, and time.

    • Reward eligibility is based on the student’s saved points.

  • School-Specific Customization:
Site leaders can adjust the day of the week the recap emails are sent.

3. QR Code Access

LiveSchool offers QR code functionality for quick access to student information.

  • How It Works:

    • Print a QR badge for the student.

    • Parents can scan the QR code using a camera-enabled device to access the student’s real-time recap without creating an account.

    • The recap includes points, teacher feedback, and reward status.

Schools can provide printed summaries for family members to keep them informed.

  • Customizing Printables:

    • Choose between a simple layout or a detailed paycheck-style report.

    • Include student bank account details (current points balance) and a QR code for digital access.

    • Select a specific timeline, individual students, or an entire class/grade level.

  • Printed Report Content:

    • Points earned during the selected timeframe.

    • Current points that are available for rewards.

    • Behaviors recorded, teacher comments, and rewards purchased.

  • QR Code on Printables:
Family members can scan the code to access the student’s recap online without signing in.

Summary

Family members can interact with LiveSchool in these four ways:

  1. Parent Account for direct login and real-time updates.

  2. Weekly Recap Emails for automated, detailed summaries.

  3. QR Code Access for quick, account-free insights.

  4. Printed Reports for offline tracking with optional QR codes.
