With Digital ID Badges, students can pull up their ID badge right in the LiveSchool student app. No more lost or forgotten cards! Students open My ID and show the QR code to check in at games, events, the front office, or an attendance kiosk.
Who can do this: Administrators and Site Leaders can turn Digital ID Badges on and choose what each badge shows. Teachers can open the same page to see whether it is on, but can't change it. Once it is on, students see their badge in the student app.
Turn On Digital ID Badges
In the sidebar, go to Setup and click ID Badges.
Click the Digital IDs tab.
Turn on Enable Digital QR Badges?
Choose what each badge shows:
Show grade? lists the student's grade.
Show house? lists the student's house. This option only appears if your school uses houses.
Show photo? shows the student's photo, if they have one. This option only appears if student photos are turned on for your school.
Each change saves right away. The phone preview on the right shows what students see.
What Students See
Once Digital ID Badges are on, students see a My ID button in the student app:
On a computer, My ID is in the sidebar, right after Home.
On a phone, My ID is at the top of the Me page.
Tapping My ID opens the student's badge with their name and QR code, plus any grade, house or photo you chose to show. Staff scan the QR code the same way they scan a printed badge.
Digital and Printed Badges
A student's digital badge and printed badge use the same QR code, so every LiveSchool scanner reads both as the same student. You can use printed badges, digital badges, or both. To print badges, see Printing QR Badges or Barcodes.

Do families see My ID?
No. My ID is only in the student app.
A teacher can't turn this on.
Only Administrators and Site Leaders can change Digital ID Badge settings. Teachers see the settings but can't change them.
I don't see Show house? or Show photo?
These options only appear after you turn on Enable Digital QR Badges?. Show house? also needs your school to use houses, and Show photo? needs student photos turned on for your school.
