Only Admin users can edit this option.
By default, negative behaviors are recorded for the student but do not come off your House totals. Turning Subtract Points for Demerits on means demerits reduce a House's score.
If you change this option in the middle of the year, the House totals in your standings will change. Any negative Points students have earned since the Competition Start Date will count toward the House totals.
Go to House Points > Settings
Find Subtract Points for Demerits under Competition Settings
Click the toggle to switch it on or off
Leave this off if you want the competition to reward positive behavior only. Demerits are still recorded for the student either way; they just will not affect the House standings.
