Introduction

At LiveSchool, we understand that communication is key, and we want to ensure that students and families can access and understand the information they receive from their school in their preferred language. In this guide, we'll show you how students and families can translate LiveSchool content into different languages using the Chrome browser and Google Translate.

Translating Your Account

Language of LiveSchool Content

By default, LiveSchool displays content in the language originally created by the school. For example, if your school has created English-language behaviors, these behaviors will be shown in English on the student's and parent's accounts:

Setting a Default Language

Students and families have the ability to set a default language for their Chrome browser, which will be used for translations. Here's how:

  1. Open your Chrome browser.

  2. Click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner to access the menu.

  3. Go to 'Settings.'

  4. Scroll down and click on 'Language.'

  5. Here, you can choose your preferred language for translations.

After selecting your preferred language, make sure to refresh the page you're viewing. This will apply the preferred language to your options for translation.

Translating LiveSchool Content

Once you've set your preferred language, you can translate LiveSchool content as follows:

  1. Right-click on any page you're viewing in Chrome.

  2. Select 'Translate to [Your Chosen Language].'

  3. Google Translate will convert all the text on the page into your chosen language.

Viewing Translated Content

You'll now see LiveSchool content, including behaviors in the student and family accounts and recaps, presented in your selected language:
