How to enable a Roster to act as a print group, and appear as a student homeroom on Points Logs

If you've ever wanted to print out your Points Logs in LiveSchool and noticed that the student homeroom information was missing:

You're in the right place. In this guide, we'll show you step-by-step how to set the student homeroom for printing.

Step 1: Setting a Roster as a Print Group / Student Homeroom

To enable the display of the student homeroom, you need to set one of your Rosters as a print group. Here's how:

Head to Setup > Users, Rosters & Site > Rosters and look for the Roster you want to set as a print group:

Click on the blue printer icon in the bottom left corner of the Roster; this is your "Print group settings."

Click the printer icon.

Step 2: Enabling Print Group Sorting / Student Homerooms

When you click on the printer icon, you'll see an option that says, "Reports will be sorted into print groups when printing by grade." Toggle the switch to turn this option on:

Once you click "Save," this roster will now be named as a print group/student homeroom.

Toggle "Is this roster a print group?" to on.

(Optional) Assigning a Print Group / Homeroom Teacher

If you share your students and teachers via spreadsheet, you can change who the homeroom teacher assigned to a Roster is, though this information is not visible in Points Logs. If you would like to change the assignment of a homeroom teacher, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the blue teacher's name that initially appears in order to change who this Roster will be assigned to.

    Click on the teacher/Admin name listed to open a menu of other teachers or Admin to choose from.

  2. Choose the new teacher or Admin by clicking on their name and clicking "Save."

    Select a teacher or Admin from the menu that pops up.

    For example, if Ms. Bass is the homeroom teacher, select her name from the list.

If you sync your students, teachers, and sections via Clever, one of your Administrators is automatically assigned as the homeroom teacher for all Rosters.
